PRIVATE COOKING CLASSES
Private cooking classes take place in the comfort of your home, office, or rented venue. Here's how classes work:
- Chef + Farmer Michelle brings all the local ingredients and equipment.
- Together we will cook either a three-course menu OR focus on a specific skill (Cheesemaking, Pickling/Fermenting, etc).
- Students will enjoy the fruits of their labor throughout and/or at the end of the class, and will receive a detailed recipe packet.
Hands-on classes typically last 2-3 hours. Private in-home classes are designed for groups of 2 to 10 people. For larger groups, demonstration-style classes can be customized to fit your needs. Pricing varies based on class topic, group size, and venue.

A Farmbelly favorite! This is a perfect class for larger groups looking to learn more about sourcing, preparing, and cooking with seasonal + local produce. During this class, we will cover:
Sourcing Local Produce - learn all the insider tips + tricks for sourcing from the best local farmers in Santa Barbara.
Herbs 101 - learn how to purchase, store, chop, and cook with fresh and dried herbs. We will make our own herb butter creations to enjoy with toasted sourdough and freshly harvested veggies.
Homemade Vinaigrettes - learn the art of making healthy + flavorful vinaigrettes at home. Everyone makes their own unique salad dressing to enjoy with a big farmers market salad.
Learn the science behind fresh cheesemaking and master the (surprisingly straightforward) techniques for making farm fresh cheeses in your own home!
